Good to know

Structural work often needs a building permit, and sometimes an engineer's design. Your city's building department, or St. Louis County for unincorporated areas, can tell you what's needed. Before on-site structural work starts, ask the welder for proof of liability insurance.

Questions

Common questions

Q.01Do I need an engineer?

Sometimes. Load-bearing changes usually need one. The welder can tell you when, but the building department has the final say.

Q.02Damaged pallet racking?

Rack repairs usually need the rack maker's or an engineer's approval. Mention it when you call.

Q.03How much will it cost?

Structural jobs are quoted individually by the welder. Requests are free.
