Trailer & Hitch Welding Repair
Cracked tongue, snapped receiver, broken spring hanger? Get a mobile welder to the trailer instead of towing a broken trailer to a shop.
What a mobile welder can fix
- Cracked tongues and A-frames
- Coupler mounts and safety-chain loops
- Hitch receivers and brackets on the trailer side
- Spring hangers and shackle mounts
- Cracked crossmembers and side rails
- Ramp hinges, ramp gates and fenders
- Stake pockets and custom pockets or mounts
Before you call
- A few photos of the break from different angles
- Trailer type (utility, car hauler, landscape, gooseneck) and the rating on its ID plate if you can find it
- Where it's parked, and whether a truck can pull up next to it
- Whether it's loaded right now
Don't tow a trailer with a cracked tongue, coupler mount or spring hanger. Those parts carry the load, and a crack there can let go on the road. Axle, brake and wiring work is usually a trailer shop job; the welder will tell you if that's the case.

Questions
Common questions
Q.01Can it be fixed where it's parked?
Usually, if there's room for the welder's truck and the spot is safe to weld, meaning no fuel, dry leaves or other things that burn close by. Say where it's parked when you call.
Q.02Can you weld a hitch onto my truck?
Welders work on the trailer side: tongues, couplers, receivers and brackets. For a bolt-on hitch on a car or truck, a hitch installer is usually the better call.
Q.03How much will it cost?
The welder sets the price after seeing the damage. There's no charge to send a request.
